Convoy

Written whilst on a slow freighter to to England, this is a volume of short stories by war correspondent Quentin Reynolds.  But, this is not a war book. Rather is it a strand of memories, experiences, drawn from the background of a rich and varied life. The stories range from a game prize fighter to a peanut vendor, from sail fishing to a first interview (with Lord Beaverbrook), from a race horse to luxury eating places. Interesting and original short stories and sketches, told against the lightly etched background of the convoy and the day by day atmosphere.
