BookNook Treasures is my little online bookshop — emphasis on little, though I like to think of it as delightfully compact rather than small enough to misplace under a stack of paperbacks. I started it recently after a long chapter (nearly 13 years!) running my second‑hand bookshop in Cooma, NSW. When I moved to Canberra, I had to close that beloved store and briefly attempted the noble art of “working for other people.” It turns out I’m spectacularly bad at that, so I made the big, joyful decision to return to what I love most: books.

During my years at Dorothy Dickens Books, I learned a great deal about my customers — what they needed, what they hoped for, and what made their eyes light up when they walked through the door. I’m now putting all that hard‑won wisdom to good use in this new venture.

My mission is simple: to make sure every customer discovers the joy of curling up with their perfect book. That’s the standard for every interaction — whether you’re hunting for a rare gem, a comfort read, or something that simply smells like good old paper.

I specialise in second‑hand books, most of which are sourced from the beautiful Snowy‑Monaro region. Our collection is lovingly curated and spans every genre imaginable — from classics to curiosities, mysteries to memoirs.
